Orange Dreamsicle

Meet your new favorite refreshing mocktail: the Orange Dreamsicle. 🍊✨ We’ve taken the nostalgic flavors of your favorite childhood ice cream bar and given them a sophisticated, dairy-free upgrade. Rich, velvety almond milk pairs beautifully with bright citrus and a botanical hint of Earl Grey tea for a perfectly balanced sip that’s sweet, tart, and completely refreshing.

Prep time: 5 minutes

Servings: 1

Glassware: Collins glass

Ingredients

2 oz Almond milk (unsweetened)

2 oz Fresh orange juice

3/4 oz Fresh lemon juice

1/2 oz Simple syrup (1:1 sugar and water)

1 oz Earl Grey tea (brewed strong and chilled)

Top: Splash of club soda or sparkling water

Garnish: Fresh orange wheel and a sprig of mint

Instructions

Brew the Tea Base: Brew a concentrated batch of Earl Grey tea (use 1 tea bag or 1 tsp of loose leaf in 4 oz of hot water to keep the flavor intense). Let it cool completely before using.

Combine the Ingredients: In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the almond milk, orange juice, lemon juice, simple syrup, and chilled Earl Grey tea.

Shake Vigorously: Seal the shaker and shake hard for about 10–15 seconds. Tip: Shaking vigorously is crucial here—it emulsifies the almond milk with the acidic citrus juices, creating a perfectly velvety, frothy texture instead of separation.

Strain and Serve: Fill a tall Collins glass with fresh ice. Strain the shaken mixture into the glass.

The Fizz Finish: Top the drink with a splash of fresh club soda for a bit of effervescence.

Garnish: Tuck a fresh orange wheel and a gently slapped sprig of mint into the top of the glass. Serve with a straw.

Why it works: The oil of bergamot in the Earl Grey tea acts as a flavor bridge between the bright orange juice and the creamy almond milk, perfectly replicating the complex vanilla-and-citrus depth of a real ice cream creamsicle without being overly sweet.
